All of you who were waiting for Sherlyn Chopra’s Kamasutra 3D trailer – for obvious reasons – may be slightly disappointed with the visuals you are about to see here. While the good thing is that the movie looks aesthetically shot, the much desired sex-quotient is very low…which could be the bad thing, depending on your point of view, of course.
Kamasutra 3D looks heavily inspired by Hollywood flicks such as Pirates of Caribbean and 300. The partially clad buffed men remind us of the popular tele-series Spartacus. And Sherlyn has not been given adequate screen-time in this trailer to showcase her ‘talent’. Or so we thought, until we saw her wearing a translucent white saree. The babe moans suggestively and even licks a tree branch in what looks very much like desperation!
From the trailer, it is difficult to figure out what the story of Kamasutra 3D is all about, as all you see is a ship filled with muscular men waging war. A wrinkled-faced Milind Gunaji makes an appearance, scary in his hairy avatar. By the time you are ready for Sherlyn to come..errr…. arrive in this promo, the background score has become monotonous and repetitive. And when she does appear, all you get is Ms C doing less than full justice to her…ummm… craft.
Fortunately, some time ago we had a chat with the babe to find out what the plot of this drama is. “Kamasutra 3D is a passionate love saga. It’s a journey of an Indian princess who takes a voyage in pursuit of her husband. What happens on that voyage and whether she finds her husband is the crux of the story. The intent is to take the audience with me on the voyage. I want the audience to experience what happens with my body and my mind, ekdum kareeb se,” explained Sherlyn.
Frankly speaking, the trailer is hardly as ‘promising’ as Sherlyn said it would be. You watch it and tell us – would you still like to watch Kamasutra 3D, ekdum kareeb se?
